I regret that I have been accidentally prevented from earlier acknowledging receipt of Your Excellency's despatch dated the 19th ultimo in reference to the case of a native of Sunon who alleged that he was detained against his will at Macao having been inveigled on board an Emigrant ship there under false pretences.
